"This website is intended to be more than corporate "brochure ware", Mark Routson - CIO. Although websites/portals are a necessary component to a firm's marketing efforts, it is also the front to our collaborative environment. It is the resource and customer facing interface in the Rampart Global Variable Cost Engineering model. Central to this is the Rampart Global Collaborative Environment. Rampart Selects Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System Rampart Global is pleased to announce the selection of IFS – The Global Enterprise Applications Company as its ERP provider. IFS Applications, which is based on web and portal technology, offers more than 60 enterprise applications components used in manufacturing, supply chain management, customer relationship management, financials, engineering, maintenance and human resource administration. IFS provides RGI with e-business solutions that offer partner, customer and supplier collaboration. RGI is utilizing this software to automate back-office and transactional processes, to better and more cost effectively serve our customers. We view automation of processes as central to delivering the vision of seamless national execution of services. The ERP system will become a key component of the Rampart Collaborative Environment, providing the transactional backbone for the collaborative system. February 2006 Rampart Collaborative Environment Launched The Rampart Collaborative Environment (RCE) has been launched. This system enables effective collaboration between our customers, supplier partners and RGI management and resources. Central to timely and reinforcing to variable cost execution is the notion that the velocity of communication and decision making needs to be maximized to enable delivery of the Rampart Global vision. "Although collaborative environments are now becoming common place", indicated Mark Routson - CIO, "it is the combination of this capability with supporting processes and cross functional engineering definition tools that deliver the true value of RGI engineering services". March 2006 Rampart Established Virtual Collaboration Center (VCC) The Rampart Virtual Collaboration Center (VCC) has been established at RGI's corporate offices in Lisle, Il. This capability is central to delivering Rampart's corporate value to its customer and supplier base. Geographic limitation is eliminated through the effective utilization of this capability. This capability enables up to 20 geographically situated teams into a fully collaborative session, complete with collaborative environment, video and voice. "The power of the VCC's architecture is that it is 'instant on' for our customer's and suppliers, eliminating one more barrier to timely engagement and execution of engineering activities". |
